London Eye

The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel and major visitor attraction in the UK’s capital. Situated on the South Bank of the Thames, The Eye gives spectacular views across London, allowing visitors a birds eye view of the city’s major landmarks including the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Shard, Wembley Stadium and many more.

The rim of the Eye is supported by tensioned steel cables and resembles a huge spoked bicycle wheel. WIRELOCK® was used in all the sockets on the spokes and also the cantilever supports.

The project was thoroughly European with major components coming from the UK, The Netherlands, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic and France.
